Klokers to celebrate 40th anniversary

Bob and Paula Kloker will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary on Sunday, August 10. They were married August 10, 1974 at Dayton Avenue Baptist Church in Peoria by the late Rev. Arthur Grigg.
Paula is the daughter of the late Howard and Mildred (Mim) Leverton of Rushville, formerly of Peoria. Bob is the son of the late Ed and Lois Kloker of Beardstown.
They are the parents of two children, Faith Ann Kloker (companion, Kevin Grab) of Springfield and Christopher Kloker (wife, Kari) of Pittsfield. They are grandparents of four grandsons, Jakob, Keegan, Beau and Drake.
Bob has farmed in the Beardstown area all of their married life and Paula works for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage in Springfield.
The couple celebrated their anniversary earlier this year with a trip to Las Vegas. A dinner for family and friends will be held on Sunday, August 10.


Durells to celebrate 50th wedding anniversary

Bonnie (Moore) and Donald Durell of Browning, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on August 7.
They were married on August 7, 1964 in Beardstown by the late Rev. Lottie Morrow. Their witnesses were the late Raymond Knous and the late Marilyn (Moore) Hay.

Coats to celebrate 60th wedding anninversary

Jack and Lee Ann Coats of Beardstown will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary July 10. They were married in Beardstown on July 10, 1954.
Jack is retired from Fiat-Allis in Springfield and Lee Ann is retired from the First State Bank of Beardstown. Both are active in the First Christian Church of Beardstown.
Jack and Lee Ann have four children: Vallery in Arizona, Stephanie in Springfield, Jeff in Sugar Grove, Jon in Belleville, seven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
A reception will be held at the First Christian Church of Beardstown on Sunday, July 13 from 2-4 p.m. The couple requests no gifts please.


Jones’ celebrate 30th wedding anninversary

Kevin and Alisa (Yost) Jones celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary on Monday, June 23.
They were married at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bluff Springs June 23, 1984.
They are the parents of two sons, Andy and Austin Jones.


Moseleys celebrate 50th wedding anninversary

Donald Bradley and Carol Ann Moseley will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception June 29, from 2-4 p.m. at the First Christian Church in Quincy, 1415 Maine Street. The event will be hosted by their children and grandchildren. Friends and family are invited to attend.
Donald Bradley and Carol Ann Nixon were married June 13, 1964 at North Side Christian Church in Omaha, Neb.
Doctor Moseley is the former Carol Ann Nixon, daughter of the late Harold and June Nixon. The Reverend Moseley is the son of the late Edward and Mayble (Becraft/Moseley) Whitmer and Noel Fred Moseley.
They are the parents of two children, Tabetha (Rick) Pritchard of Farmersville, and Steven (Kim) Moseley of Salem, Iowa. They have nine grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter.
Don and Carol Ann are both retired. Don ministered over the years in Nemaha, Nebraska, Livonia, Michigan, Chandlerville and Virginia, Illinois, and most recently Kahoka, Missouri. Carol Ann taught over the years at Lincoln Land Community College, and most recently at Blessing-Rieman School of Nursing, Quincy. She received her doctorate degree in nursing in1998, which has kept her busy working as nurse and educator. Both Don and Carol Ann are very active in their church and community. They are members of First Christian Church Quincy.
The Moseley's have a two-week Alaskan adventure planned for June 2015.


75th Wedding Anniversary

Claude and Gladys Browning, of Canton, observed their 75th wedding anniversary on Thanksgiving Day at the home of their granddaughter, surrounded by approximately 35 family members and friends of family.
The two were married on December 25, 1938 in Macomb.   An early celebration was held with their three children, Barbara Goodin, (husband, Robert) of Virginia, John Browning, of Galesburg, and  Steve Browning, (wife, Carolyn) of Canton.  Along with their three children, the Browning’s have been blessed with eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Mr. and Mrs. Browning have lived in several cities around central Illinois including Lewistown, Peoria, and Chillicothe. They presently reside in Canton.


Luxes to celebrate 60th wedding anniversary

Kenneth and Shirley (Carls) Lux will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary, August 30. They were united in marriage at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Beardstown, on August 30, 1953. Ken is retired from CIPS and Shirley retired from Meyer Red Fox Grocery.

They have three children: Lisa (Jim) Langdon, Kevin (Susan), and Jeff (Sandra)?Lux, all of Beardstown. They have eight grandchildren:?Becca, Ben, Will, Liz, Allison, Adam, Jed and Jake, and one great-grandchild, Adeline.

Kershaws celebrate 50th wedding anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Kershaw of Arenzville will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house to be hosted by their children, Sunday, August 18 from 2-4 p.m. at the fellowship hall of the Arenzville United Methodist Church. Family and friends are invited. No gifts please.

Ronald Eugene Kershaw and Helena Faye Hacker were married August 15, 1963 at the First Assembly of God Church in Jacksonville by her brother, Rev. E.L. Hacker and the late W.A. Gardner.
He is the son of the late Ralph (Tag) and Esther Kershaw and she is the daughter of the late Ellis (Boots) and Alice Hacker.
They are the parents of two daughters, Bethany (Beth) Kershaw of Jacksonville and Angela (husband, Andy) Phelps of Arenzville and have two grandchildren, Allison and Kellan Phelps also of Arenzville.
