Wanda Zieler Lucas, 88, of Virginia, IL died Thursday evening, June 5, 2014 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy.  Funeral arrangements are pending at the Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home in Virginia.

Claude “Bud” J. Browning, 97, of Canton, passed away on Tuesday, June 3, at 4:10 a.m., at the Unity Point Methodist Medical Center in Peoria. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 5, at 1:30 p.m., at the Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton with a visitation one hour prior at the funeral home.
Burial will be at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown. Memorials may be made to his church or to Meals on Wheels.

Myron Lee Beard, 84, of Arenzville, died Saturday, May 24, at Jacksonville Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Jacksonville. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 28, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Arenzville, with burial and military rites at Arenzville East Cemetery. The family met friends from 4 to 7 p.m., Tuesday at Williamson Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the church.

Shirley Yvonne Wear Cline, 78, of Beardstown, formerly of Burton, passed away at 11:10 a.m., May 25, at Heritage Manor in Beardstown. Services will be 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 31, at the Hunter Funeral Home in Mendon with The Reverend Connie Jenkins officiating. Interment will be in Curless Cemetery near Loraine. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. on Friday. May 30, at the Hunter Funeral Home in Mendon.

Paul Donald “Duck” Lane, Sr., 81, of Springfield, died Tuesday, May 20, at Heritage Health in Jacksonville Graveside services and military honors were conducted at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 27, at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield.

Edwin L. Bast, Korean War Veteran, died May 15, 2014. He was the son of Frank and Esther Houston Bast. He was born in Cass County, Illinois Jan. 13, 1931 and lived in the Oak Brook, Illinois area. He is survived by his wife, four children and several grandchildren. Services were held May 20, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Christ Church in Oak Brook with interment  at Irving Park Cemetery.

Wilbur L. “Webb” Parlier, 76 of Arenzville, passed away Monday, May 26. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, May 30, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Arenzville. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery. The family will meet with friends from 4-6 p.m., Thursday at Sager Funeral Home in Beardstown.
