7th Annual Taste of Beardstown

Seventeen vendors have committed to selling samples of their unique offerings at ‘A Taste of Beardstown’ on the city square, Saturday, Aug. 23, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Highlighted by Beardstown’s diverse variety of traditional, home style and ethnic cuisine, local vendors with their wide variety of local cuisine, some new to the event this year, will provide an array of samples.
Cass Communications, West Central Bank, First National Bank of Beardstown, E. H. Taylor Clinic, D & D Enterprises of Illinois, The Cass County Star-Gazette, The Kitchen & Floor Shoppe, L. B. Sports Productions and The City of Beardstown have joined with Beardstown Main Street to sponsor  the  afternoon of fine food and entertainment.

Entertainment will be provided by Boots and Lace, an audition and preview of the Fall Fun Festival ‘Beardstown Has Talent Show’ and Kareo Musical.
Vendor samples can be purchased with tickets which will be sold by Beardstown Main Street at three ticket booths. These will be located on the corner of State and Third Street, and on the corner of Washington and Third Street. One booth will be located in the middle of the block between State and Washington Streets on Third Street. No sample being offered at the vendors’ stands will cost more than $5 or less than $1. Beardstown Main Street will be holding a 50/50 drawing at 4:45 p.m. You do not have to be present to win.
The vendors this year are the Beardstown/ Rushville African Immigrant Committee, Arnold Family Concessions, Benny’s, Elks,  Exchange Club, Fall Fun Festival Committee, Heritage Preservation Foundation, La Isla Tropical Restaurant, Degaberto Reza’s,  Lions Club, Miller’s Concessions, La Esperanza & La Familia Taqueria, Hardee’s Family Restaurant, Walmart, Annie’s Sazarac, Daryl Vermillion and Pizza Hut.

The purpose of Beardstown Main Street is to promote, attract and preserve diverse businesses in historic downtown Beardstown.
